Luton Face A Shock Departure This Summer

Perusing the plethora of media articles that can be accessed, it appears that the Hatters could be set to lose their captain.

According to Football League World, Sonny Bradley has turned down the offer of a new deal at Kenilworth Road and looks set to leave the club, this summer.

The 29-year-old, who has been a mainstay of the side this season, making 41 appearances in all competitions, including 37 in the Championship, if the suggestion is true, obviously feels his time at Kenilworth Road is coming to an end.

Signed on a free transfer, from Plymouth Argyle, in 2018, Bradley has made 131 appearances for the club and has scored 3 goals.

As far as possible destinations go, a move to Preston has been mentioned by several sources, including, Lancs Live.

If Bradley is keen to move on, two questions need answering.

1 – Would his departure weaken our defence?

2 – Who would take over the captaincy?

As far as the first question goes, I believe that a central defensive partnership of Tom Lockyer and Kal Naismith would serve the Hatters very well.

As for the second question, those who frequent this site are already campaigning for Kal Naismith to don the armband.

But is he your choice?
