Luton Town have confirmed that both Zdenĕk Kroča 29, and Pavel Besta, 27, have signed contracts to the end of the season. Kroča was originally said to have signed till January and it is unclear if that was an error or whether he has agreed to stay longer since signing originally.

Kroča a 6’5′ centre back impressed in friendlies against Kilmarnock and Newcastle and played for 10 years at his home town club of Tescoma ZlĂn, making 169 appearances.

Besta, a central midfielder has represented the Czech Republic seven times at Under-21 level and lately played in Slovakia with Ruzomberok.

Richard Money is delighted with his captures and told the club’s official website:

‘Make no mistake these are two players of the highest calibre.

‘We are extremely lucky to have them.

‘Besta is tough, uncompromising; a proper central midfielder player, while Zdenĕk brings a calmness to the back four which will enable us to build well from the back.’

Money also extolled how this shows that Luton Town is well thought of world wide.

These are two signings of the highest order and will mean that all positions are now well catered for with a squad that could field two teams capable of good results in this League.

Steve Evans will be crying in his beer tonight! 🙂
