It may not be the end of the season, and please don’t ask me why, but the Championship Manager of the Year award was handed out last night.

And much to our surprise, those who decide who gets the award looked beyond the likes of those who have already won the league and awarded it to our very own Nathan Jones.

Nathan was on hand, at the Grosvenor Hotel, in London, last night to accept the award.

Clearly, our gaffer has been recognised for this award due to his splendid work in steering Luton Town Football Club to the verge of a play-off place, doing so on a meagre budget compared to the rest of the teams participating in the Championship.

With just a point needed to make the play-offs, and with two games to go, Fulham (a) and Reading (h), we can only hope that being awarded this prestigious award, it doesn’t prove to be a jinx.

I’m sure you’ll join me in congratulating Nathan who has done a wonderful job, along with his coaching team, in steering the Hatters to where they are now.
