Luton – Another Hatter Set To Shine At Wembley

There really is, much to my delight, an abundance of football being shown live on television at the moment.

Last night, purely because if was available, I watched the second leg of the League One semi-final, between Barnsley and Bolton Wanderers.

It was not until thy team sheets were shown that I realised that a certain Harry Isted was between the sticks for Barnsley.

In what was a tense affair, it was Barnsley that emerged the victors, beating their South Yorkshire rivals, 1-0 on the night and 2-1 on aggregate.

It means that Harry, after what looked to be another season of very little action with Luton Town, will end it with a memorable experience, playing at Wembley Stadium, on loan with Barnsley with whom he has excelled.

I’ve always felt that Isted has never been given a fair chance at Kenilworth Road and I understand he is highly rated by the Yorkshire club’s support.

I’m sure you’ll join me in offering my congratulations to Harry and hope that he has a flawless game against their rivals, Sheffield Wednesday in the final on 28-May.

Shame on you mh harry has had a very good time an was certainly one of the reasons they got there.hes been outstanding in form an every success is due to him.after all he’s put up with from Luton you have to wonder why we don’t rate him ? I think a lot of us supporters feel he should have been given more of a chance an been promoted.i suspect he will leave at the end of the season as he can’t get his chance here a loss I think as he will be successful in his career as a keeper he’s young.

DP’s opportunity hanging in the balance

Unfortunately Steve I think his chance had gone by midseason . But I think many of us thought he wasn’t going to make it just like the cabin boy not going to be good enough for the championship let alone the first division. As for Taylor an macatee they have to be given a chance not really been tried yet although Taylor has played a couple of times.

I meant to get to Wembley CW… But that has now gone as well!

Sorry Steve, misunderstood you but he’s rarely played so wasn’t expecting to even see him on Bradford’s bench.as it looks like his chance there has gone.

Harry Isted is a great keeper – not sure how he offended NJ but its great to see him doing great now!
