Luton – A Date For The Diary

Regular visitors to this site may recall a book that was recently published about those players who played for Luton under David Pleat.

With the book being about an era that many enjoyed, in our history, I had no qualms about plugging it – a-very-welcome-blast-from-the-past.

Now I’ve yet to completely finish it but it is a great read and when Volume 2 comes out I’ll be in the queue for a copy.

Meanwhile, I’m reliably informed by the author, Philip Duffy, that on Saturday 4th February, ahead of the fixture against Stoke City, three of those featured in the book:

• Michael Saxby
• Godfrey Ingram
• Steve White

will be in the club shop, on Park Square, from 11:45 until 13:00 to sign copies of the book then, after the game, they’ll be in the Kenilworth Road club shop.

Also, if you have already bought a copy, Philip assures me there is no problem in taking your copy into either venue to get the trio to sign it.

I’ll see you all in the queue at the Park Square shop, just before the trio arrive.
