Luton – A Case Of Look What You Could Have Won

There’s still a part of me that believes it should have been Luton Town playing down on the south coast last night, taking on the Premier League outfit, Southampton.

I still find it hard to swallow that, in two attempts, we struggled to defeat a League Two side, Grimsby Town.

But that’s life and like many other disappointments, I’ll get over it (eventually).

However, it would be extremely churlish of me not to congratulate our conquerors, Grimsby Town who, last night, travelled to Southampton and pulled off another FA Cup shock defeating Southampton, 2-1.

Cheered on by 4000 travelling supporters who had journeyed south, carrying their inflatable Harry Haddocks, the Mariners now can look forward to an FA Cup Quarter-Final against Brighton and Hove Albion.

It’s another long trip to the south coast but one they’ll look forward to a fantastic day out and you just never know, they might very well pull off another cup upset, good luck lads I’ll certainly be rooting for you.
