The sudden departure of Kevin Pilkington, who moved to Notts County as their goalkeeping coach, has left a void for Gary Brabin to fill.
With Mark Tyler firmly established as our number one keeper, many suspected that Gary Brabin may be forced to bring in another reliable keeper.
However, Brabin seems quite confident that our young 18 year old keeper – Lewis Kidd, has all the credentials to step in and fill the void, commenting,
“I think Lewis will do well.”
“He`s a good young kid, works hard in training. He still has got little bits to learn but he`ll do okay.”
“If he has to step in, he`ll step in and do a job. I think he`s got everything you need to be a top goalkeeper.”
Kidd, as you are probably all aware, has already been on the bench against Barrow and Gateshead and must be itching to get an opportunity to show what he can do.
