Of the three signings John Still has brought in so far, we`ve had a good chance to look at two.
Alex Wall and Jake Goodman have been given more of a chance than Solomon Taiwo (who made his Hatters debut yesterday).
Goodman looks to be a promising defender and it`ll be interesting to see if Luton can secure his signature on a permanent basis at the end of the season.
Alex Wall, on the other hand, has serious competition for a strikers place at Kenilworth Road but looks up for the job, despite as you`d expect coming from a league below us, being a little raw.
After his battling display, in the 0-0 draw, at Wrexham, Wall was afforded the following compliments by John Still,
“Alex is like the tin man at the moment because the training is killing him a little bit.”
“He has to learn to get through that though, but he showed some good touches and looked threatening.”
“He played his role almost as a lone frontman really well.”
I guess it is all about the player grasping this opportunity with both hands, to realise his dream of playing at a higher level than he has been accustomed to.
