Planning for next season, John Still will be hoping that he can hang onto Andre Gray.

The striker, apart from one brief spell, has been excellent this season and ended the campaign with a brace, at Southport, giving him 20 goals, in all competitions, this season.

Up at Southport, Gray could have been celebrating a hat-trick but Lay Luck wasn`t smiling on the marksman.

However, John Still was full of praise for his striker, recognising his contribution, in his post-match interview, remarking to the local media,

“With a touch of luck and a touch of good fortune, he`d have got a hat-trick.”

“It`s fantastic. To have got someone who can score that amount of goals it`s a massive plus.”

“What we`ve got to do is try and make sure we find goals from other areas as well. It`s important, but if we`ve got a player getting 20 goals a season, and we can find a couple of others who are getting into high double figures, that`s going to make for an interesting season.”

If Gray does get snapped up by a bigger club, he`ll prove difficult to replace!
