Yesterday, up on the north-west coast, Luton ended their disappointing with a hard earned win.

With promotion just a faded dream, yesterday will be the last time we witness some of those selected in that familiar Hatters shirt we`ve all love.

In typical Hatters style, cheered on by the heart few who chose to make the 400 mile round-trip, Luton fell behind early on when Sean Clancy headed home from close-range after a good cross from Chris Almond had evaded the Hatters defence.

The early setback seemed to spur Luton on and gradually they got back into the game when Matt Robinson scored his first goal for the club, diligently lifting the ball over Zac Hibbert, with thirty minutes on the clock.

Four minutes later Luton were ahead when Andre Gray low volley also beat Hibbert, the game was to be wrapped up eight minutes from the end when Gray, one of the successes of the season, fired home from close range to make sure Luton finished the season with a flourish.
