With under a week to go before the January transfer window slams shut, there is still a lot that could happen.
Late Thursday afternoon saw speculation surface linking a Luton striker with a move away from Kenilworth Road.
According to the Bristol Post, the Ashton Gate based club are considering making a move to sign Harry Cornick before the transfer window slams shut at the end of this month.
Our linked article implies that a proposed move for Cornick has been brought forward due to the imminent reported departure of their own striker, Antoine Semenyo, as covered in the link.
Back on 05-March-2023, here at Vital Luton Town, we ran an article, with Cornick not getting regular football that carried the following headline – regular-headed-towards-kenilworth-road-exit-possibility.
But, considering that Cornick’s form has since seen him back in the starting XI, I’d be reticent to see the player leave.
With James Bree having already left, to join Southampton, Luton are in a position where, like Bree, Cornick’s contract is up at the end of the season.
With that being the case, could the Hatters be set to see Cornick leave for a small fee, or in our case ‘undisclosed’ to join up with another former Hatter, Kal Naismith.
Hopefully, that will not be the case.
