It seems that having taken my eye of the ball, for a couple of days, courtesy of a broadband outage (not of my doing), I’ve missed the announcement of Nathan Jones making an addition to his squad.
Therefore, playing something akin to catch-up, here at Vital Luton Town we’re pleased to announce that Matty Pearson has joined the club on a three-year deal.
Pearson, 24-years-of-age, has joined Luton Town for an undisclosed fee from Barnsley.
A versatile defender, Pearson joined Barnsley from Accrington Stanley and in discussing the signing, on the official site, Click Here, Nathan Jones is honest enough to admit he has had Pearson in his sights for some time, remarking,
“We’ve tried to get Matty here ever since his Accrington days.
“We’ve been chasing him for a long time and all parties have shown a desire to get it done, so we are delighted to have him here.”
Here at Vital Luton Town we’d like to officially welcome Matty Pearson to our fine club and we hope his stay is an enjoyable and successful one. The player will bring some added depth to the squad and his versatility will prove invaluable as the Hatters not only look to consolidate their newly found League One status but push for a second consecutive promotion.
