Were Luton Town Robbed?

Don’t you just love a late winner, they remove all memories of how poor a game it might have been in a tide of jubilation.

Last night, down at Kenilworth Road, I thought we had witnessed just such a thing.

Some poor finishing, by both sides, had provided a game that won’t live long in the memory, but when Sonny Bradley netted, right at the end, I am sure I wasn’t alone in jumping up and down and thinking we had secured the three points.

Sadly, it wasn’t to be with the match officials deeming that Bradley had committed a foul before scoring.

To me it looked a little harsh and talking to the local media, as reported by The BBC, Nathan Jones was of the same view with the gaffer remarking about the incident:

“There was nothing wrong with that goal – it’s probably a safe decision right at the end so that neither side loses it – it’s a terrible decision.”

Indeed, I thought it was and so did this poster on social media:

But what are your views on the incident?

Hi MH, didn’t see anything wrong with the Bradley header. Ref bottled it, if you are going to give foul for that, then with all the pushing and shoving in the 18 yard box, we will never see another headed goal from a corner….Still the people on here that didn’t want a luton win will be happy..lol…still can’t get my head round that one…

Hi, the standard of officiating gets worse every season. So much so that I am close to turning my back on the game for that reason. I don’t know how manager week in week out. Just go back over the season and count up all the dodgy decisions – both for and against- there have been in our games.

They say these things even themselves out over the course of a season but do they? Why should there be so many mistakes?

Same in the Boro game..that ref was scared of backlash from warnock, don’t care what anyone thinks…its happened many times for many teams against his sides over the years….and like I said, that tef bottled it last nite.. Adebayor is getting the luton forwards mantle from refs already, where he gets nothing….
