One negative aspect of climbing back into the Football League is that it brings down the curtain on our players involvement with the England C adventure.

The England C adventure is purely limited to those who participate in non-league football.

One of our players who has regularly found himself pulling on an England C shirt this season is our defender Fraser Franks.

However, whilst the 23 year-old is grateful for the experience of international football, Fraser is happy that the experience has been sacrificed in order to achieve his primary goal, that of League football with Franks remarking to the local media,

“I think that`s the last time I can play for England as well, so I wanted to have one last trip with them and I`m glad I`ve gone.”

“I`ve been fortunate to have been to some good places and had some good experiences, but the main goal is to get in the Football League and I wouldn`t swap that for anything.”

Franks last involvement with the England C camp saw him skipper the side in away trips to Slovakia and Hungary, no mean feat.
