It turned out to be a busy transfer deadline day for Luton Town Football Club.

I hoped that those who control such matters were, behind the scenes, working on something but I must admit I was surprised that the Hatters managed to bring in three players on season-long loan deals.

The trio of Izzy Brown (Chelsea), Luke Bolton (Manchester City) and James Bree (Aston Villa) will not only provide competition places but will also give Graeme Jones several more options, when it comes to tactics, to ponder over.

All three players are no strangers to loan deals, Brown spent last season at Leeds United, Bree ended the previous season on loan at Ipswich whilst Bolton spent time at Wycombe Wanderers.

Furthermore, all three are young, Brown (22), Bree (21), Bolton (19), and will view this as an opportunity to impress and further their careers in the game we all love.

Here at Vital Luton Town, we’d like to welcome all three to our wonderful neck of the woods and look forward to seeing what they can add as we look to make an impression in the Championship after back-to-back promotion campaigns.

  • Great 3 loan signings. I have seen brown play a number of times. If his injury is not hampering him he’s a huge asset. Also seen Burton play as well and can turn it on as well. Don’t know bree but hopefully he’ll be good

    • Brown, at Leeds last season, only managed two games due to injury, let’s hope he stays fit this time around.
