This Time Next Week Luton Supporters Will Have That Answer To The All-Important Question

It doesn’t seem that long since the 2019 / 2020 season ended in such dramatic fashion, with the Hatters ensuring their Championship status for at least another season.

But, already, the lads are back in training as we await the commencement, in a few weeks, of the 2020 / 2021 season.

With a new season around the corner, talk has already started to centre on who the Hatters will kick-off the season against.

Sadly, the open fixtures are set to be, just like the last nine of last season, be played behind closed doors, but here at Vital Luton Town we’re hopeful that it won’t be to long before we can take up our rightful places inside Kenilworth Road.

Returning to the 2020 / 2021 fixtures, we won’t have to wait much longer before we are put out of our misery with it being announced that they’ll be released on Friday 21-August @ 09:00 hours.

For many, the first fixture they’ll scan the list for is the local derby against Watford.

Although I’d love to kick off the new season with a fixture against our near-neighbours, I’d prefer to leave the clashes until later in the season when supporters will be able to create that unique atmosphere associated with the clashes.

However, as for that first game, I’d like it to be against Birmingham City or Sheffield Wednesday, either will do, both sides we’d stand a good chance of beating.

But who can you see the fixture list pairing us with for that crucial opening fixture of the 2020 / 2021 season?
