This is a Golden Opportunity!

With Andre Gray having been sold and with Jon Shaw having been released, it could be deemed that we`re a striker short even though we`ve signed Ricky Miller.

But does the sale of Andre Gray represent a huge opportunity for somebody who was very much on the fringe of things last season make his mark?

The player I have in mind is Mark Cullen who arrived at Kenilworth Road from Hull City last summer.

Mark struggled to hold down a permanent place in the side but showed his worth with some valuable goals, most notably the late, late equalizer away to Cambridge United that gave Luton a much valued point and emphasized that we were on our way back to the Football League.

So whilst there may indeed be talk of John Still using some of the cash received, from Brentford, to bring in another experienced striker, could this be the opportunity for Cullen to not only show his worth but develop those skills that saw Luton persuade him to leave the KC Stadium and come south?
