Things Are, Despite Another Draw, Looking Good For Luton Town

There is no doubt about it, Luton Town should have won last night, against a Birmingham City side they dominated.

But, for the third consecutive game, the Hatters had to be content with a 1-1 draw.

Now 3 points out of a possible 9, could be considered a poor return but in what is a topsy-turvy season where home advantage does not appear to be the cert it usually is, I am satisfied with that return.

Looking at the Championship table, we are sitting in ninth place, three points adrift of a play-off place but a massive ten points clear of the relegation places.

Now that is some improvement on last season is it not.

But I still ponder over just how we would do with another striker on the books.

Returning to last nights performance and talking to the media and as reported by The BBC;

Nathan Jones seemed pleased with how his side performed, remarking:

“Apart from one lapse and then Simo) Sluga having to pull off a wonderful save, I thought we were totally dominant in terms of how we moved the ball, in terms of us being brave, the chances we created.

“We should’ve won the game, no doubt about it.

“But we’re proving we’re evolving, and that’s such a good thing for a manager. That’s the positive I take from tonight.

“In terms of performance levels, I couldn’t have asked for more.”

Next up for the Hatters is an away trip to South Wales to take on Cardiff City.

I wonder how that one will turn out?

Cardiff City v Luton Town?

Cardiff City to Win!

Cardiff City to Win!

Luton Town to Win!

Luton Town to Win!

A Draw!

A Draw!

Hi mh, I think that the table will have a different look by the time we have played our next 3 games. Cardiff Norwich an Swansea. I an Alan have had our say many times on here about where our problem lies. And to be honest if we take 3pts from these games I’d take that. I am still confident we will finish safe at the end of the season. But the transfer window business is crucial now an I think 2 or 3 departures are inevitable. An I can’t see us being allowed more than 2,000 fans in. Also hope it will be decided by ballot

Hi all, away form is tidy, I fancy us to beat at least one of the Welsh sides and I would take draw against norwich…but as said b4 nobody is playing consistently, so who knows. If we can play as well as we did last night and with a bit of luck in front of goal, who knows. Yea I know we all say we struggle in front of goal, bit as any of us who have played the game know, sometimes you also need a little luck…as their keeper did when he slipped and made what looked like a worldie from collo….keep the faith boys…
