The transfer window may be closed, until January 2019, but it hasn’t stopped Luton Town Football Club from making an addition to the squad.

It has been announced and confirmed by the BBC, that the Hatters have signed the former Newcastle United and Brighton and Hove Albion winger, Kazenga LuaLua.

The 27-year-old has signed a deal, with the Hatters, until the end of the current season.

LuaLua joins Luton Town after leaving Sunderland at the end of last season, therefore qualifying as a free agent.

Talking about signing for the Hatters, LuaLua is reported by our referenced source as having remarked:

“It’s good to sign until the end of the season, to get some game time and enjoy my football.”

But what makes the deal a little more intriguing is that Nathan Jones was on the books at Brighton when Nathan Jones was on the coaching staff and knows exactly what LuaLua is capable of.

LuaLua is still only 27-years-of-age and has a lot to offer, if his form in previous seasons has been a little hit-and-miss, perhaps Nathan Jones is just the man to get the player firing on all cylinders.

Here at Vital Luton, we’re excited by this signing we can recall LuaLua being a right handful when he’s on form and if he nets for the Hatters, keep an eye out for his goal celebrations, they used to be something quite special.
