Yesterday, against Alfreton, the game was effectively won after just 18 minutes after Luton had roared into a 4-0 lead.

Alfreton are rarely beaten at home and after the emphatic victory, a win that puts us even closer to Cambridge United whilst also extending our Conference unbeaten run, John Still had this to say to the local media after the game,

“We`ve played very well. I always say that every game is tough, it is before the game, their record here is exemplary, but we`ve really played well.”

“In the first half, some of our movement was outstanding. Scoring the goals and all of them good goals, well taken goals.”

“I said at half time, the important thing now is not to take step back and we didn`t. We scored another well-worked goal, and it was another very, very good performance.”

“All over the pitch we were first class, and for a performance we couldn`t have asked for more.”

“You can only control the controllables, we can only go out and play, we can`t worry about Cambridge or anyone else.”

“We can`t affect other people. If we play well every week and compete ever week, I`ll know we`ve have done everything we can do.”

Does anyone else get the feeling that Project Luton is on plan and that the real acid test will come when we encounter Cambridge United, and a certain Richard Money somewhere down the line?
