An interested spectator at Kenilworth Road, last Saturday, would have been Josh McQuiod.

McQuiod, currently on loan at Stevenage until the end of the season, wasn`t allowed to feature against his parent club, Luton Town.

Although McQuiod was limited to just 8 appearances for the Hatters this season, appears to have found his niche at Stevenage and has been an ever-present.

Indeed there is talk that Stevenage would like to make McQuiod`s move permanent come the end of the season with their boss, Darren Sarll remarking about the situation,

‘Josh has been terrific. He’s been a very good player for us, and he’s a gifted boy. He’s intelligence is commendable and he brings a difference to us.

‘He’s quicker than people think and has a tremendous leap. Whether he’s starting the game or coming on as a sub – when you put Josh McQuoid on you’re in a real position of power and strength.

‘If the club is to progress in the way we want it to, we need to try and improve always on the calibre of the squad, and Josh has an excellent back ground.

‘He is a proven winner and still has eight or nine years left in his career left in him. Like Charlie Lee and Jobi McAnuff, they’re the quality of player I want at Stevenage.’

I`d imagine, if the right price is offered, a deal could be done for the player.
