Caretaker manager Brian Stein is reported to be considering going back to a more straightforward formation using personnel in their normal positions, after Mike Newell’s experimental team lost to Leeds and Hull.

Runstrom, Morgan and Feeney are in line for recalls and new signing Besian Idrizaj could feature on the bench.

Beresford is still rated doubtful after his head injury on Tuesday and Dean Brill will deputise if Marlon does not make it.

Meanwhile, Matt Richards and Dan Harding face late fitness checks for Ipswich.

pswich will consider themselves fairly safe so will not be under the kind of pressure that Luton will be suffering, with the Hatters two points adfift of safety at the moment, and with QPR having a game in hand as well.

It is difficult to imagine that Stein will be able to instil the lacking confidence of the players, having only taken over the reins on Thursday, but with such a poor run of results, each game takes on exponentially more importance.
