The Hatters are in South Yorkshire today taking on Sheffield Wednesday in a Championship fixture.

Recent form has seen Luton take just 3 points from the last 9 available, with the last two fixtures being lost by the same score, 2-0.

Those two losses have seen Luton slip down to 10th in the table, another loss could seem them fall into the bottom half.

Sheffield Wednesday are languishing at the foot of the table desperately trying to overcome a 12-point deduction imposed at the end of last season but will prove to be dangerous opposition.

The Hatters could face some familiar faces with Izzy Brown, who was on loan at Kenilworth Road last season, from Chelsea, now part of the Owls squad, however, it looks as if Brown’s availability will be subject to a fitness test.

Sheffield Wednesday also have Jack Marriott in their squad, with the striker being signed, on transfer deadline day, from Derby County, Marriott also has experience of playing for the Hatters.

Could the duo combine to inflict misery on the Hatters?

Our usual poll, relating to the outcome of the game, shows 33% believing Luton will win, 42% thinking Sheffield Wednesday will win and 25% thinking the game will end all-square.

With the kick-off fast approaching, we are now able to bring you the team-sheets and also answer a few of the questions posed above.

Hi mh, an OK performance good goal by pelly but yet again two glorious chances missed early we should have been out of sight instead we have to settle for a slender win. Also was not happy with lockers attitude after the foul. He could have been booked for that yes it was a sending off. But let the ref deal with it why get booked for mouthing off!!!

you need to take chances at this level, we could have regretted not converting our domination into a lead, but I thought we done well and deserved the three points

Bit picky chris…a good away win and a clean sheet…after the last 2 games it was far better….

  • Alan says:

I think hylts was more a case of good defending than a bad miss. Pelly should have buried his chance, but made up for it. Bring on forest…..

Hi Alan an mh, yes I’m happy we got 3 pts but as we have all said before we must score more goals. I didn’t denigrate Danny but of old he would have put it away. An why risk a yellow for dissent when the ref hasn’t even made the final decision pro’s should know you don’t change a refs mind. An sorry lockers was looking for a booking which we don’t need. An OK Alan good defending but I still think the old Danny would have buried that. Still coyh we are still in the mix
