But will it be forthcoming?

With it needing a miracle for the Hatters to clinch that much-revered final promotion play-off place this season, the remaining games Luton have to play will see several of the current squad playing for their futures.

For some, particularly those on loan it is a chance to convince Nathan Jones that they are worth a permanent deal.

One player who is at Kenilworth Road on loan is Alan Sheehan.

Sheehan is on loan from Bradford City and has featured thirteen times for the Hatters.

However, it seems that Sheehan is keen to secure a future at Kenilworth Road with the 29-year-old, on loan from Bradford City remarking when pushed about a permanent deal with Luton.

‘Is it something I’d be open to? Yes, I’ve enjoyed my football and it’s about enjoying your football. I’ve gone to big clubs in the past and not really enjoyed my football and looking back it is really about enjoying your football.”

But when pushed on whether talks had commenced, Sheehan admitted,

‘No real talks really, with seven games left we’re just trying to concentrate on getting up. I think there’s small bits of talks happening but I’ve not heard anything about it.’

And on how he views his loan spell has gone, Sheehan further added,

‘I’ve played 13 games since I’ve come. The majority I’ve done centre back, first XI, but I think it’s gone really well for us. I’ve enjoyed my football and I think it’s going well.”

Will Alan Sheehan be granted a permanent deal this summer, I guess we`ll find that out very soon.
