With Nathan Jones forced to select his only two fit centre-backs for the visit of Exeter City yesterday, with Cuthbert and Mullins unavailable, the boss will be hoping that Alan Sheehan will be fit for selection on Tuesday night, when the Hatters take on Newport County at Rodney Parade.

Against Exeter City it turns out that Alan Sheehan managed to complete the full ninety minutes for the Hatters despite suffering a partial dislocation of the shoulder during the game.

The gallant act, brought the player some praise from the boss with Nathan Jones remarking about his defender,

‘His shoulder popped out, but Alan is an old warhorse the way he goes about his work. I said he was excellent and he really was, he battled on. You know what you get from him, and he was brilliant.’

Hopefully the shoulder has re-seated perfectly as these things have an unfortunate habit of repeating themselves sometimes.

Fingers crossed for Alan on Tuesday evening down in South Wales.
