Sensible Thinking Has Gone Out Of The Window As The Hatters Face A Long Boxing Day Trek

The festive season is but a matter of hours away and the Hatters support has every reason to eat, drink and be merry.

After getting promoted from League Two, last season, the Hatters have made great strides in making sure the present campaign has the potential to be every bit as memorable as the last one.

A run of fine form, including six consecutive wins, has lifted the Hatters into second place in the table, behind Portsmouth who are top.

However, we’re perfectly aware that the Hatters could be overtaken by Sunderland if the Wearside club win their two games in hand.

But, with the fixtures coming thick and fast, our next fixture is a strange one.

On Boxing Day, the Hatters will be making the long trek to Scunthorpe for their next League One fixture.

Now I’ve labelled it strange, not because I fear Scunthorpe could end our winning run, but because I cannot comprehend, for the love of money, why the damned fixture computer has given us such a long trek, on a Public Holiday, when there are so many clubs that are closer to home!

Up the Hatters!
