Luton Town are represented in the latest Football League team of the week that has been selected after this week’s action.

The performance by Dan Potts in the two nil victory over Accrington Stanley at the weekend at the Crown Ground was enough to earn them a place in the side alongside the other most impressive performers in the Football League pyramid.

I think we’ll already know ourselves, and not just based on the latest performance, why Potts was selected as part of the team but explaining the choice – the FL blurb read.

‘Potts excelled at both ends of the pitch, as Luton became the first team this term to prevent Accrington Stanley from finding the net. The full-back defended stoutly, and his tenacity and crossing ability were on show as he played a huge part in James Collins’ opening goal.’

It’s always good to see the club represented in this way, and well played to Potts for his recognition, but the most important thing about the weekend was of course the win.

Full Team:

Dave Richards (Crewe Alexandra), Dan Potts (Luton Town), Dan Burn (Wigan Athletic), Richard Wood (Rotherham United), Pierce Sweeney (Exeter City), Ebere Eze (Wycombe Wanderers), Jake Reeves (Bradford City), Sean Murray (Colchester United), Ben Whiteman (Doncaster Rovers), James Henry (Oxford United), Ellis Harrison (Bristol Rovers).

Manager – Darrell Clarke (Bristol Rovers).
