The result of the latest poll was 66% believe that Luton will not sign any loanees, and 34% think they will.

I’m surprised that it wasn’t higher since Mike Newell actually stated that he was not a fan of loans. Strange that he sends so many out on them then, isn’t it?

However, he also stated that he would only take loan players to cover if a key player was injured or if he could get a premier player for the season. The likelihood of that happening in the two week window for loans seems small.

Similarly, if Mike Newell leaves for Leicester, as is being mooted by the media, then any replacement might take longer to appoint than the window would allow, and may not be in a position to assess the requirements of the team. If he goes? I feel another poll coming on!
