Luton Town are represented in the latest Football League team of the week that has been selected after this week’s action.

The performance by Joe Pigott in the three two victory over Oxford United at the weekend at the Kassam Stadium was enough to earn them a place in the side alongside the other most impressive performers in the Football League pyramid.

I think we’ll already know ourselves, and not just based on the latest performance, why Pigott was selected as part of the team but explaining the choice – the FL blurb read.

‘Pigott netted his first goals since his February switch to Luton, helping his side to three points at promotion-chasing Oxford United. The Charlton Athletic loanee scored either side of the break as the Hatters came away from the Kassam Stadium with a 3-2 triumph.’

It’s always good to see the club represented in this way, and well played to Pigott for his recognition, but the most important thing about the weekend was of course the three points.

Full Team:

Alex Revell (MK Dons), Alex Baptiste (Sheffield United), Andy Butler (Doncaster Rovers), Paul Robinson (Wimbledon), George Boyd (Burnley), Jon Taylor (Peterborough United), Josh Windass (Accrington Stanley), Luke Williams (Scunthorpe United), Jordan Rhodes (Middlesbrough), Joe Pigott (Luton Town), Tomer Hemed (Brighton).

Manager – Adam Murray (Mansfield Town).
