Paying the Price!

The magic of the FA Cup sees the Hatters dreams of a long FA Cup run continue after our narrow win over Northampton Town.

However, the fine line between triumph and disaster has proven costly for the opposing manager on Saturday, Gary Johnson.

Before the game, Johnson had viewed the fixture as a chance to end his sides run of six consecutive defeats and kick start the Cobblers season.

Sadly, that wasn`t, for Northampton, the case.

A seventh defeat on the trot has seen Johnson leave Northampton Town by mutual consent, or as we term it being invited to walk through the exit door before being forcefully shoved through it.

Now we`re content in the knowledge that his future may well have been on rocky ground before he came to Kenilworth Road but it just goes to show that although for us Saturday had all the magic of the cup, for Gary Johnson and Northampton it was the other end of the spectrum!
