Paul Peschisolido says ‘They don’t make them like they used to…’ as he explains why football has changed during his time in the game and looks back at last week’s return to the scoresheet with Luton.

‘I think I’ve put my niggling injuries behind me now, and I feel like I’m ready to help Luton push on and start getting the sort of results we are capable of.

‘I scored with my first touch in the Johnstone’s Paint Trophy win over Northampton and it was great to get off the mark. It was a big deal getting that first goal for Luton.

‘Most of the characters are being pushed out of the game and I do think that it has lost some of the enjoyment it had before. Of course players are fitter and stronger than ever and more professional, but some of the fun has been lost and you do need to have fun.

‘When we started in the game there were still plenty of blokes around who came from that great era of playing football and socialising with your team mates afterwards.

‘Things are different now and young players are coming into the game with completely different attitudes. We didn’t have all this youth development stuff and you had to fend for yourself.’
