News, at this time of the year, is scarce.

The period between the end of the season and when the transfer rumours start to pick up can be desperate, but we`ll endeavour to keep things bubbling along.

The weekend just past saw the relegation battle at the bottom of League Two sort itself out. With it going to the last weekend of the League Two season, it turned out that Barnet and Aldershot were the two that dropped into the Conference.

It`ll be interesting to see what state both clubs are in come the start of the Conference season though.

Aldershot are struggling financially and some twenty-five years after the club was reformed, they could, once again, disappear through money troubles.

Barnet, on the other hand, took a gamble in employing the legendary Dutch player, Edgar Davids, to try and steer them away from the drop, but to no avail. The North London club have also waved goodbye to their Underhill ground, preparing to move to Edgeware, could that have an adverse effect on their future?

At the top of the table, the play-offs have now reached the stage where we now know the two finalists, each of whom will be looking to climb back into the Football League. Both Wrexham and Newport will both harbour dreams of regaining the League place they`ve both held previously, but who will prevail?

Your thoughts please!
