Now why couldn`t we do that first time around?

Having huffed and puffed, at Kenilworth Road, in the first tie and only drawing, Luton had an uncomfortable trip to Nuneaton last night to try and secure an FA Cup 2nd round tie at home to Dorchester Town.

In front of a crowd of 1,596, Luton did just that, with a goal in each half from Scott Rendell

Scott`s first goal, just before the half way mark in the first half came courtesy of a header from a JJ O`Donnell cross.

His second, eighteen minutes from the end of normal time, came form the penalty spot when Andre Gray was upended by Gareth Dean.

As for Nuneaton, the closest they came was when the game was at 1-0 and Andy Brown hit a post with a header from a James Armson free-kick.

Discussing the result with the media afterwards, Buckle explained,

“It was tough, as expected.”

“But we handled it well after changes due to injury.”

Now we wait for the visit of Dorchester town and the chance for the mighty Hatters to be in the bag for the famous third round draw, but let`s not count our chickens before they`ve hatched.
