Meadow Lane witnessed an invasion of Luton supporters for this last game of the season.
With Luton Town having won promotion to League One and with Notts County having, already, secured a place in the promotion play-offs, the game had an end of season feel to it, but that didn’t stop the travelling Hatters army from generating a wonderful atmosphere, as they saluted the achievements of their side.
👏 What an atmosphere the 4,500 travelling Town fans helped create at Meadow Lane today. Thank you for such wonderful support today and all throughout the campaign…enjoy watching the post-match ovation on YouTube!

The game itself ended goalless although it was the Hatters that generated the greater quantity of chances but just couldn’t engineer that vital breakthrough.
Luton Town, just before the hour mark, were reduced to ten-men when Danny Hylton was shown a second yellow card. The striker’s dismissal will mean he’ll miss the first fixture of the 2018 / 2019 season, as Luton start life back in League One.
Being down to ten-men didn’t knock Luton out of their rhythm and both Stacey and Mpanzu went close to securing a last day win for the Hatters.
But it wasn’t to be and now we’re all looking forward to life in League One.
