Newell Welcomes Luck

Following Carlos Edwards’ fluke in the match against Norwich, Mike Newell would welcome more luck like that as the season progresses.

The Trinidad and Tobago international delivered a cross from the wing, but Canaries keeper Robert Green slipped as he tried to catch it and the ball flew into an empty net.

Speaking of the incident Newell said:

‘It was a complete fluke – their keeper slipped and there is nothing you can do about it. I don’t know what Carlos was thinking really, it was a bad cross but we will take that bit of luck when it comes our way.’
