Hatters Match Zone

Millwall 0 Luton Town 2

A trip to London proved to be fruitful for the Hatters, on Saturday, with Nathan Jones side ending a run of 9 visits to the capital without securing a victory.

Two clinical finishes from Harry Cornick, one in each half was enough to give Nathan Jones side all three points and lift them to tenth in the Championship table.

Cornick’s first goal, in the eleventh minute, came after good work from Jordan Clark with Cornick placing the ball in the top corner of the net.

Cornick’s second goal, in the fifty-third minute, also saw Clark provide the assist but this time Cornick placed the ball into the bottom corner of the next.

The two goals were the only two shots on target the Hatters had but Millwall mustered very little to trouble Simon Sluga in the Luton goal until late on.

However, it took a great penalty save, from Sluga, to stop Millwall getting back into the game, late on, after Kal Naismith had handled the ball.

Next up for Luton is a trip to take on Derby County this Tuesday.

I see many online tweets about the situation with sluga. Something I hi lighted at the beginning of the season. When I said he was in his last year. Now whether you rate him or not. Come January does he get sold cheap as he only has months to go. Go for free running out his contract. Or are we talking to his agent already? Now I for one believe his value is now more than what was paid for him and would not be happy if he went for penny’s would you be?
