Just how frustrating can this beautiful game of ours be?

There we were, anxiously looking at our watches, contemplating winning 2-1 with minutes to go and moving up to third in the table when, lo and behold, we fall foul of the dreaded equalizer and find ourselves lurking in sixth, but out of the promotion play-off places.

However, with the top group all slipping up in recent weeks and probably in the weeks to come, it`s not time to lose much sleep over, yet!

Luton started the game poorly, falling behind early on when Exodus Geoghagon (on the books at Peterborough at the same time as Mark Tyler) launched a long throw that saw Ben Hutchinson score from close range.

But far from letting their heads drop, Luton battled back and equalized, after twenty-six minutes, when Andre Gray netted after a header from Janos Kovacs landed invitingly for him.

Gray could have put Luton ahead, before the break, but shot wide from a damn decent position. However, midway through the second half Gray did redeem himself with a great finish from inside the box.

But as the clock ticked down and those three points looked to be ours, with five minutes of normal time left, up popped Matthew Green to give Mansfield a share of the points when he scored from close range.
