Luton - You Confirm It Was The Right Decision

Thursday afternoon saw the news break confirming that Elliot Lee had gone on a season long loan spell to the League One side, Charlton Athletic.

Our associated article – player-joins-charlton-on-loan – carried a poll which asked the simple, but pertinent question,

Are Luton Right To Let Elliot Lee Leave?

To keep things simple, we provided just the two answers:

• YES

and

• NO

The poll gave us an emphatic result with 85% voting for the YES option and just 15% for the NO option.

Last season, when Luton Town finished a very respectable 12th position in the Championship table, Elliot only made 8 starts for Nathan Jones side before departing, in the January transfer window, to Oxford United on loan.

That loan spell was probably an indicator as to what lay in store for the attacking midfielder this season, perhaps the only shock being that he has not, yet left the club on a permanent basis.

You could argue that Elliot was not give the chance to shine by the gaffer, but I am sure he will be a success at Charlton, and I would like to wish him all the best.
