Luton win at Hitchin

Luton Town began their pre-season matches with a comfortable 3-0 victory at Hitchin Town.

Triallists Kevin Harper and Joel Grant scored along with youth team starlet Ryan Charles, who netted a 25 yard screamer.

Kevin Blackwell fielded a team mainly of reserve players and triallists, but gave run outs to Chris Perry and Paul Furlong, both of whom impressed the boss.

Don Hutchison also played and showed the manager enough to persuade him to include Hutchison in the Norway tour to take a closer look.

Luton play two games in Norway before returning home to get down to the business of finalising his team for the season ahead.
