Luton – Which Area Needs Strengthening The Most

The 2020 / 2021 season has flown by and there is no denying, being played under the dark cloud of the pandemic, it has been a strange one.

But, nevertheless, it is a season in which the Hatters have done their support proud.

After the trials and tribulations of the 2019 / 2020 season whereby our Championship status was only retained with a win in the last game of the season, it has been an absolute pleasure to see the Hatters more than consolidate their Championship status this season.

But history has shown it is not prudent to rest upon your laurels, if Luton Town FC are to progress and improve their status then this summer is a period where we must invest wisely in new talent.

However, being a club of limited funds, how we spend our money is vitally important, we cannot afford any bad signings otherwise any hopes of, possibly, pushing for a play-off place, next season, will be dashed.

Which brings me around nicely to the crux of this article, the all-important question:

Which Area Of The Squad Needs Strengthening The Most?

The Defence!

The Defence!

The Midfield!

The Attack!

It will be interesting to see if we get a unified consensus.

Hi mh, personally I want a proven striker added to the team who will get us 20 goals a season in this league an maybe if we lose a centre half one of those an a midfield enforcer who can do it properly unlike rea who is a disappointment

Somebody to play alongside Adebayo, a new striker who can feed off Elijah, although it will be difficult to find, might be a case of taking a risk on a young Premier League striker looking for regular footy.

midfield needs good strong players who can feed the strikers. what has happened to dribbling skills.that lad crooks at rotherham would be a great player tor luton. as always it comes down to money, but we have a great squad ,just needs thinning out.best of luck to anyone that moves on,i think most players who play for luton enjoy the good feeling that exists at this club, may it continue forever.agree that rea needs to improve, and give pereira a game.C.O.Y.H.

A tricky one ,M H. Until we know who’s leaving and who’s staying it’s difficult to answer that one.

For me It starts at the back, we need defenders that can make a pass, instead of just lobbing the ball up field, and are also not a yard behind the game.

A more creative midfield, and a striker alongside Adebayo.
I have been a critic of Collins, but to be fair to him, he has not had much quality service this season, as previously pointed out, the midfield needs more quality.

I guess we just need to see who comes in, but going by his body language, I don’t expect to see Collins staying.
