After the sad demise of Prince Phillip (RIP), the EFL announced that the kick-off times for the fixtures this Saturday, would be changed.
With Prince Phillip’s funeral set for 15:00 hours, it did not seem right that it should conflict with the traditional kick-off time for the EFL fixtures.
As a result, it was announced late yesterday afternoon that the hugely anticipated fixture will now kick-off at 12:30 hours.
Well, they have got that wrong, haven’t they?
Surely, it was crying out to be a 12:00 hours kick-off, a classic high noon encounter with both sides emerging from their respective dressing rooms to the classic tune written by Ennio Morricone, The Good, The Bad and The Ugly!
Mean stares could have been exchanged between the two sides as they prepared for battle with the eerie silence in a behind-closed-doors Kenilworth Road only serving to add to the occasion.
But, returning to reality, what really concerns me about the early kick-off is that the Hatters struggle to start quickly when it is a 15:00 hours kick-off how are we going to cope with a 12:30 one?
