Luton – Was Harry Cornick The Right Choice

Deciding who is the ‘man-of-the-match’ is often a contentious decision and one that can promote a healthy debate.

People have different opinions, people are swayed by certain events in a game and dare I say it, people have favourites.

Last night, against Coventry City, the official Luton Town Twitter site declared that Harry Cornick had won the accolade.

It was a decision that was warmly greeted by those who left social media comments:

But is it a decision you agree with?

Or do you believe someone else was more worthy of the accolade?

My view is that Kal Naismith continues to excel as a centre-back and should have been given the accolade.

But who gets your nod of approval?

Please feel free to drop the name of the player who you believe was ‘man-of-the-match’ last night into the comment facility beneath this article and we will see if we have a common denominator.

Morning mh, cornick has now become the player to supply the ammunition to score with his assists. But as in my previous post adebayo is our most outstanding light.

  • Alan says:

Adebayor is a huge difference. He and cornick are beginning to gel….cornicks crosses are looking better as Adebayor looks to get on the end of them, rather than having a forward who waits for the ball to just drop to them….long may it continue….

I don’t necessarily disagree with the previous remarks but I do think Kal Naismith has been somewhat overlooked by many fans; he’s been superb match after match. He almost managed to get across to block the Cov shot that hit the post. He reads the game so well, he has a real footballing brain and rarely makes the wrong choice. He’s totally committed to the cause, giving the proverbial 100%. Like Clark, he’s fitted in well straightaway.

  • John Camp says:

I entirely agree, I believe that Kal Naìsmith has by accident found his best position and since moving into the central defensive position, whether in a 3 or 4, he has been consistently MOM. Looking forward to seeing him alongside Tom Lockyer.
