The game so many of us have been looking forward to, the visit of Watford to Kenilworth Road, is now under two weeks away.

The Hatters support will be eager to get revenge for the defeat inflicted by our near neighbours in the reciprocating fixture earlier this season.

As promised, hear at Vital Luton Town, we have been doing our utmost to promote the fixture, already we have reflected on two fine victories, against Watford, from days gone by with – luton-v-watford-blast-from-the-past-2 – and – luton-v-watford-blast-from-the-past-1

Today, we have found footage of another fine win over the Hornets, this time from 29-NovemBer-1992.

The Hatters welcomed Watford to Kenilworth Road desperate for a win with Luton lying bottom of Division One.

The game was settled, in Luton’s favour, with a two-goal burst in three wonderful first-half minutes.

The first came courtesy of a marvellous diving header from Ian Benjamin that nestled in the far corner of the net. It was only Benjamin’s second game for the Hatters and his first goal for the club.

In his Brief Luton career, Benjamin was to make only 11 league appearances for the club and scored only 2 goals before leaving to join Brentford.

The second goal, just three minutes later, came from Scott Oakes who burst through from the halfway line and buried a low shot into the same corner of the net.

Enjoy the action:

We will see what other clips of Hatter success, against the Hornets, we can unearth as the game draws ever closer.
