Luton v Fleetwood Preview

It`s back to the bread and butter of Conference football after our FA Cup excursion last weekend.

We welcome high-flying Fleetwood Town to Kenilworth Road knowing that a win is needed to keep us on the coat-tails of those currently leading the promotion chasing pack.

Gary Brabin, although we`ve slipped somewhat off the pace recently, isn`t showing too many signs of being overly concerned.

Talking to the local radio station, Brabin has remarked,

“We`re not pressing any panic buttons. We know we have got some good players to come back.”

“If we can stay in and around the pack and get a bit of consistency, we can drive on from there.”

“Fleetwood have done well. But we need to concentrate on ourselves. That`s what we`re fully focused on.”

Luton though, are carrying a hefty injury list that could see as many as nine players not available for selection – James Dance, Freddie Murray, Dan Gleeson, Shane Blackett, Ed Asafu-Adjaye, Alex Lawless, Keith Keane, Adam Watkins and Amari Morgan-Smith.

So this match could be a tough one. Nevertheless, with regards to a score prediction, I can`t help getting out of my mind that it`ll be a close game but the Hatters will scrape it with Stuart Fleetwood scoring the winner against Fleetwood Town, stranger things have happened.
