Luton v Bristol Rovers

Luton will be hoping to maintain their good home form with another victory while Rovers boss Paul Trollope may have to dig deep into his squad for the match due to injuries and International calls. Luton have injury problems themselves and Dave Edwards is on duty with Wales U 21s. However, Luton have a big squad and good cover for all positions which hardly weaken the team.

Lescott and Jacobsen have recently been The Gas’s most influential players and with both doubtful, the away side could struggle to compete if Luton continue to shine at home.

Vital Quotes:

Luton Town Team News:

Luton are still without long term injury victims Paul Underwood and Sam Parkin, and Richard Jackson is also still out. Dave Edwards is on International duty.

Steve Robinson comes in for Edwards And Keith Keane continues to deputise for Jackson at right back.

Paul Peschisolido appeared to come through 45 minutes against Northampton without a problem and should play some part in the match.

Dean Brill is back to fitness and he and David Forde will contest the keeper’s position, although whoever loses out cannot expect to be on the bench as Blackwell has not been selecting a substitute keeper recently.

David Bell, who was taken off after 20 minutes of the JPT victory ‘as a precaution'(nod nod, wink wink)’should be OK’ according to Kevin Blackwell.

Player to watch: David Bell

If he has recovered ;-), should have a big influence on midfield.

Bristol Rovers Team News:

Trollope will definitely be with out Joe Jacobson who is on international duty with Wales.

Aaron Lescott and David Pipe who are both carrying knocks and are rated doubtful.

Craig Hinton will deputise if Lescott fails to make it, and ex-hatter loanee Sammy Igoe could replace Jacobson and Lewis Haldane may come in for Pipe.

Player to watch: Sammy Igoe

If he plays he is bound to score as all ex-Luton seem to do!
