As we wait for the Premier League to resume this afternoon, with Luton Town travelling to take on Spurs, I thought I’d publish another in this random series.

Having revisited the letters ‘A’ and ‘B’, it’s time to focus on the letter ‘C’when it comes to a starting XI with players who have surnames starting with that particular letter.

Back in April 2020, a time when we were all livving under COVID living restrictions, I published the following article – the-luton-town-c-xi.

The original article, as with the letter ‘B’ contained an XI submitted by Chris Winter who came up with the following:

• Alec Chamberlain
• Martin Cranie
• Cameron Carter-Vickers
• Chris Coyne
• Clarke Carlisle
• Brian Chambers
• David Court
• Darren Currie
• Steve Claridge
• James Collins
• Tom Craddock

Whereas my XI looked as thus:

• Alec Chamberlain
• Chris Coyne
• Clarke Carlisle
• Scott Cuthbert
• Martin Cranie
• Tom Craddock
• Darren Currie
• David Court
• Steve Claridge
• James Collins
• Mark Cullen

Since the original article was published, from what I can make out, the following players have been added to the list of those that fill the criteria for selection:

• Jordan Clark
• Tahith Chong
• Allan Campbell

All three of whom I believe deserve inclusion in a re-visited XI.

Therefore, after much consideration, I’ve come up with the following XI:

• Alec Chamberlain
• Martin Cranie
• Chris Coyne
• Clarke Carlisle
• Cameron Carter-Vickers
• Allan Campbell
• Jordan Clark
• Tahith Chong
• Tom Craddock
• James Collins
• Steve Claridge

Is it an XI you agree with or would you beg to differ?
