I would not like to make the call on how many, exactly, players will opt to leave Kenilworth Road this summer.
I am hoping it is relatively few maybe just Ross Barkley and one or two others.
The last thing I want to see is a mass exodus with players wanting to continue, with other clubs, the Premier League thrill they experienced last season.
However, who stays and who goes will depend on several criteria, namely:
1 – Length of contract left.
2 – A want away attitude.
and
3 – Amount of money offered by a Premier League club to entice a player to leave Kenilworth Road.
One player who falls into one of the above categories is Gabriel Osho who I believe is approaching the end of his current contract.
Recently, in an article about Gabe – support-wait-to-see-if-defender-puts-pen-to-paper-on-a-new-deal – I asked a simple poll question –
Will Gabe Osho Remain At Kenilworth Road?
And provided three answers for you to choose from:
• YES
• NO
and
• UNSURE
With the poll now closed, I have to say that the result was far from conclusive with just 49% going for the YES option, almost half off the vote, although the remaining 51% didn’t support Gabe remaining with Luton Town, with 35% opting for NO and 16% for unsure.
At this stage of the summer I’ll admit I’m also unsure but if Gabe does decide to ply his trade elsewhere, I’m hoping he decides ASAP so that the Hatters hierarchy can recruit a replacement or could he already be here in the shape of Tom Holmes?
Please feel free to have your say in the comment facility beneath this article.
