It always amazes me why, on transfer deadline day, it takes almost until the last knockings that some deals are confirmed.
Last night, I couldn’t last the pace and retired to my pit around 2200 hours.
This morning, I’ve awoken to find that, as many expected, Cauley Woodrow has left the building.
As confirmed by the BBC, Woodrow has joined another EFL Championship side, Blackburn Rovers, on loan for the remainder of the season.
With Luton having, earlier in the day, announced the signing of – Lasse Nordas – it was inevitable that one of the current crop of strikers would be leaving, in order to free up a place in the squad and abide by the EFL regulations.
Woodrow leaves Kenilworth Road, albeit on a temporary basis, after two spells at the club during which he has made 77 appearances but without hitting the heights many Luton Town supporters expected.
Although, at 30-years-of-age, he should still have plenty to offer his new paymasters before his long term future is decided in the summer months.
I’m sure you’ll join me in wishing Cauley all the best at his new, albeit temporary, home.

Luton Town Legend Heads North On Loan
With the transfer window now shut can I say that never have I heard of such an expert on those supposedly on our radar he’s obviously watched each player dozens of times to give such insight and concise information on how each of them can play and fit into the current team now . Such insight into the club that he knows that nordas was the 3rd choice of striker after the other two.Funny that I was told the club had tabs on the boy for months and he was a top target. But the club backed bloomer and tried to get what he wants first but he’s happy with nordas. But Roby the expert he is surely the club must acknowledge now should be made the manager and pick the team weekly us mere mortals must bow down to Roby such an expert on players I’ve never seen such a wealth of knowledge on players he’s seen multiple times where does he get the time to watch them all live in amazed truelly.
🙂
he needs to play regular footy. would’nt be suprised if he plays well. COYH.
don’t you think we are lucky chris, to have such knowlegable contrbutors on this site. roby, and roland, for instance, have names begining with R’s. this lead me to wonder if they think they are on there R’s or there elbow. just a thought. COYH.
,😆
Woodrow to Blackburn on loan… Hmmm, didn’t Blackburn make an offer to buy Woodrow at the start of the season but Rob Edwards blocked it.
Shows a player he would play for only 10 minutes a game and is on £20000 a week was more valuable to him than a player (Taylor) who had a cracking season last term and was ready to step and was on £1000 a week was.
Was he really on £20k per week? That’s £1m a year for very little output! Probably good to get him off the wage bill.
👍
He is not good enough for us but he is good enough for a team in the playoffs offs position.
Good luck to him
Well Asian Hatter he hasn’t really performed for us, even when you think Adebayo is having an offer season so far you wouldn’t drop Adebayo for Woodrow, plus Woodrow was on almost twice as much money than Adebayo.
Too be fair to him I don’t think he was given to many opportunities C.Walsh particularly as Adebayo has been totally out of form this season
I think we’ve had an alright transfer window, some good players in (the ones who played at the weekend looked good even only being with us for a matter of days) and Holmes and Pelly may get some benefit from the moves (especially Pelly when you consider most to all of his personal career he’s been a proud Hatter) plus Woodrow needed to go to free up space and reduce the wage bill.
