Luton Town – Not In A Million Years

With the 2024/2025 season fast approaching, I’m hoping the transfer / loan activity will start to gather pace.

Not too long ago, here on Vital Luton Town, we ran an article relating to speculation surrounding our young striker Joe Taylorsurely-not.

I felt obliged to, at the foot off the article, to post a poll to gauge your opinion as to whether a loan move to Watford, as suggested by the main stream media, would be acceptable.

Before the poll was posted, deep down I anticipated what the result would be and, thankfully, I was proven to be correct.

With two options to choose from:

1 – Seems Like A Good Idea

and

2 – Not In A Million Years

It was option two that swept the board with a massive 95% choosing that option with, obviously, the remaining 5% choosing option one, quite why I’ll ponder about for many a day.

Although I would love to see Joe Taylor given his chance, at Kenilworth Road this season, providing Rob Edwards with another attacking option, I reckon Joe will be spending, at least the first half of the season out on loan, but dare I declare it won’t be at Vicarage Road?

Morning MH, regarding Taylor I think myself and many others on here would rather he stay personally I rate him higher than Woodrow in the pecking order. As to what we need both defence and a defensive midfielder are desperately needed Campbell leaving leaving pelly Clark no longer good enough in my opinion means midfield is desperate and got to be strengthened.

if taylor went to watford i think he would have to be sold. don’t think the luton support would forgive a loan move. hope taylor gets his chance at luton, think he deserves it. not sure what will happen with mc.atee, think he might be off. COYH.

i can’t remember a pre-season transfer window as one sided, along with so many players missing pre-season training with injuries which never bodes well for the upcoming season.

    Players gone/going –

    Krul
    Potts
    Osho
    Giles
    Lockyer
    Onyedimya
    Berry
    Campbell
    Barkley
    Lokongo

    Players in –

    Baptiste
    Walters

all very bizarre considering our financial situation ??

  • Billy says:

If you’re going to rightly include Lokonga then we should also include Kaboure. Add the 5 or so injuries then there needs to be some work done either in the treatment room or the transfer market. Things might change quickly but I’m guessing we’re not where Rob Edwards wants us to be at the moment.

  • Kenny Ames says:

forgot all about Kabore, 11 out and just two in.
Mengi not out in Slovenia and no word from the club doesn’t look good

  • Cyril hope to be at Vale game Liverpool here says:

I think they need to add to squad
