Yesterday, with the transfer window slamming shut, in England, we saw an influx of late loan departures for three of the Hatters squad.
During the day, I’m sure I’ll get around to covering all three of those that left.
First up though is the legend that is Pelly Mpanzu Ruddock.
When the new Power Court complex is open, I’m one of those who believe that there should be some kind of tribute to a player who represented us in the top five divisions of English football, with valour, a unique achievement
When you look at the record books, they show that Pelly mad over 400 appearances for the Hatters during his time with us and who is to say that when his loan spell, at Rotherham United, as confirmed by the BBC, comes to an end, he might add to that impressive total, he’s certainly come on a remarkable journey since joining us from West Ham United.
But, sadly, it was becoming obvious that, to get regular football, Pelly would have to make that gut-wrenching decision to make a move.
His appearances, last season, in the Premier League were limited and this season, with the Hatters dropping down into the EFL Championship, he has featured just the 10 times but has yet to start a game in the league.
Now I could wax lyrical about Pelly’s time with us but, on this occasion, I thought I’d leave it to our readership to offer their best memory of Pelly during his Luton Town career.
Simply, in the comment facility beneath this article, remind the readership of your favourite Pelly moment and we’ll see where this leads us.
All that is left for me is to wish a tremendous servant of our club all the best on his loan spell at Rotherham United where I’m sure he’ll continue to be a top man.

Morning MH, I’m sure like many on here feel pelly may have come to the end of his journey with us a loan now till the end of the season.when you imagine he will be sold or released.I for one feel he should get a testimonial game at some point it’s deserved for his loyalty not many nowadays reach that milestone.
a testimonial would be a great reward for his outstanding service
Not the most gifted player but very dedicated and loyal. Has served LTFC well and deserves recognition.
Completely agree, a testimonial would be a fitting tribute. He deserves it.
Pelly memories.
Staines away in the FA Trophy and a magnificent recovering hook slide tackle.
Dartford away and that banger.
He may not have been one of the greatest players to grace the Kenny but his dedication, loyalty and commitment were up with the best.
